Job summary

National Geographic is seeking a Specialist, Technical Operations to support media operations, content preparation and distribution for internal and external partners. You will process work orders, organize media assets, and assist with deliveries across platforms, while maintaining quality and service standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in media operations, strong organizational and communication skills, and experience with MediaSilo, Airtable or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in media operations, content distribution, post-production, mastering, or related functions.
• Strong organizational, communication, and customer-service skills.
• Experience with digital media assets and content delivery systems.
• Understanding of motion picture post-production process and technical delivery requirements (codec, aspect ratios, audio layouts).
• Experience maintaining and tracking audio/video production equipment with inventory tools.

Responsibilities

• Process internal requests and resources within internal systems for work orders and post-production schedule management.
• Troubleshoot technical requests to support departments for distribution needs.
• Onboard and support requests in MediaSilo and screening sites.
• Work with high-profile content distributed across internal and external teams.
• Maintain on-time delivery of priority materials from event trackers.
• Assist Corp. Communications for staffing events requiring A/V expertise.
• Oversee organization and tracking of audio/video equipment and inventory.
