Job summary

Conference Technologies is seeking a Media Design Engineer in the Atlanta area to turn client needs into detailed, build-ready media system designs. You will work with clients, sales, vendors, and project managers from scope through commissioning, ensuring the design meets the client’s day-to-day use and expectations.

Responsibilities include translating goals into clear requirements, developing conceptual designs, and producing detailed drawings, routing plans, and interfaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing media and production systems.
• Strong knowledge of HD/UHD/HDR, SDI, SMPTE 2110 and related transport standards.
• Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, QoS).
• Experience with media subsystems (video routing, multiviewers, production switchers, audio consoles).
• Ability to read/create technical drawings with AutoCAD/Visio/Revit.

Responsibilities

• Listen to clients to translate goals into system requirements and success criteria.
• Develop conceptual media system designs showing how technology supports client workflows.
• Create detailed, build-ready designs: drawings, signal flows, routing plans, equipment lists, rack layouts.
• Define user interfaces, control logic, networking needs, and testing plans.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, vendors, and field teams to align on design.
