Job summary

CTI is seeking a Media Design Engineer to transform client needs into build-ready media and production system designs. You will work with clients, sales, vendors, and project managers from scope through commissioning, ensuring the final system matches the design and client expectations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years designing media environments, strong knowledge of HD/UHD/HDR, SDI/SMPTE 2110 IP transport, networking, and the ability to read technical drawings using AutoCAD/Visio/Revit.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred but not required.
• 5+ years designing media and production systems for studios, control rooms, arenas, or enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding of broadcast tech standards and IP transport.
• Ability to read, create, and review technical drawings in CAD/Visio/Revit.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Listen to client goals and translate them into clear system requirements and success criteria.
• Develop conceptual media system designs and build-ready designs with drawings, signal flows, and rack layouts.
• Define user interfaces, control logic, networking, and testing plans for reliable operation.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Managers, vendors, and field teams to align on design intent.
• Support integration and commissioning; verify installed systems match the approved design.
