Job summary

Mission Health in Asheville, NC is seeking a MedCom Admin Coordinator to support departmental operations for Medcom and supervise assigned staff. Under the Mountain Area Medical Airlift (MAMA) Manager, you will train on required equipment, collect peer review data, and lead regional communications and emergency management functions.

Qualifications

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in emergency services, Emergency Management or related field.
Preferred Certification: EMT, AEMT or Paramedic.
Required Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Dispatching, with computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet usage and intranet software.
Preferred Experience: Previous administrative leadership experience in an EMS agency.

Responsibilities

Supports departmental operations, programs, and activities for Medcom and supervises assigned employees.
Under the direction of the Mountain Area Medical Airlift (MAMA) Manager, performs duties of training on required equipment and collects peer review data.
Leads the Medcom team on regional communications and emergency management functions for the department and visitor safety support.
Supports department manager in meeting departmental, organizational, and regulatory requirements.
