Job summary

Rural Metro Fire Department is seeking a HAA Pilot for a full-time role in Greenwood, MS. You will work with a team of medical experts to transport customers, ensure aircraft readiness, and maintain required documentation.

The position offers a salary range of $110,061 to $121,067 with a 24% geo modifier, a $15,000 sign-on bonus, retention bonuses, an IFR stipend, on-duty housing, and a 7/7 schedule. Candidates must meet the listed flight-hour and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate.
• Helicopter instrument rating.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate.
• 2,000 total flight hours.
• 1,500 helicopter hours.
• 1,000 helicopter PIC hours.
• 500 turbine helicopter hours.
• 100 hours night unaided / 50 unaided with 100 aided.
• 75 helicopter instrument hours with 50 in aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical experts to transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches and meet FAR/Med-Trans requirements and aircraft cleanliness.
• Maintain accurate MTC and regulatory documentation and record keeping.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change information to the next pilot and team per Med-Trans change board protocol.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

• Retention Bonus Plans ($40,000 after 3 years, plus additional retention bonuses once completed)

Responsibilities

• Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties
• Maintain accurate MTC and regulatory documentation and record keeping
• Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details
• Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training

Minimum Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• 200 Helicopter Instrument Hours Preferred, Including 50 in Aircraft
• EC135 Aircraft Experience
• High School Diploma/Equivalent or Higher
