Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in the United States is seeking a dedicated Medication Aide/Med Tech to ensure residents receive medications safely, accurately, and with dignity. You will administer orders, document in MAR/TAR in real time, observe for changes, and report concerns promptly to protect resident safety.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR/First Aid certifications, and strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Senior care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time
• Observe residents during and after medication passes
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief
• Report refusals or concerns promptly
• Complete narcotic counts per policy
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms
• Follow infection control and safety standards
