Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living seeks a dedicated Medication Aide / Med Tech to provide safe, accurate medication care to residents. You will administer meds per physician orders, follow the Six Rights, and document in MAR/TAR in real time while observing residents and monitoring symptom relief.

You will maintain medication areas, adhere to infection control standards, and report any refusals or concerns promptly. Healthcare certifications and prior senior care experience are valued for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills expected.
• Experience in senior care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for symptom relief.
• Report refusals or concerns promptly.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy.
• Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
