Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Medication Aide to assist with prescribed medications and daily living activities in a resident-focused setting.

The role requires CNA and Med Tech licenses, completion of the Medication Aide course, and the ability to pass medication observations and audits. Candidates should be reliable, organized and able to work with a team while handling emergencies and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medication Aide Course completed.
• Current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Satisfactory completion of medication observations annually.
• Satisfactory completion of medication cart audits.
• Attend 4 extra hours of medication administration education annually.
• Effective verbal and written communication required.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and push/carry 25 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid cert. or willing to obtain within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to the position.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN or ED.
• Perform housekeeping duties and maintain the medication cart as directed.
• Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Document medication administration on EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
