Job summary

Sandimasretirement, an assisted living facility in California, is seeking a Med Tech to join our team. The Med Tech provides prescribed medical treatment and personal care to residents, while helping maintain a clean, safe, dignified environment.

The Med Tech will document changes, assist with medications, coordinate with LVN and physicians, maintain the med room, and support residents and families while complying with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Background check and Live Scan required.
• Experience in an Assisted Living Facility.

Responsibilities

• Complies with attendance policy and maintains punctuality.
• Assists residents with medication as prescribed by physician.
• Observes and reports changes in residents to LVN/physician.
• Documents condition changes in resident files.
• Creates resident files upon admission and verifies accuracy with physician report.
• Stores medications per policy and regulations.
• Monitors medication inventory and accountability during shifts.
• Maintains the med room and stock levels; places orders as needed.
• Interacts with doctors regarding prescriptions and medication changes.
• Handles family and resident concerns about medications and completes incident reports.
