Job summary

Arete Living in Oregon City, OR is seeking a Med Tech to administer medications and provide direct care to residents in memory care/assisted living. You will pass meds under supervision of a licensed nurse, maintain the med cart, and document in the EMR. Responsibility includes monitoring for side effects and assisting with appointments.

Full-time day or swing shifts, wage $22.47-$27.97/hr DOE; benefits include health insurance, retirement plans, PTO, EAP, HSA/FSA options.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in memory care or assisted living.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience documenting in electronic medical records.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to orders under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Administer accurately and timely, and record in the resident’s EMR.
• Notify pharmacy or family when meds need refilling.
• Maintain a clean medication cart and room.
• Monitor and report side effects to the Director of Health Services.
• Support with medical appointments and coordinate care as assigned.
• Record changes in residents’ status and communicate with providers.
• Follow care plans and ensure safety of residents.
