Wage ranges from $19.70 to $25.70 per hour, DOE, plus benefits. Ideal candidates have memory care experience, CPR/First Aid, a Food Handler’s Card, and a kind, professional demeanor.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Caregiver and Medication Tech in Memory Care or Assisted Living.
• Active CPR/First Aid certification during employment.
• Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
• Experience with electronic medical records documentation.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Friendly, attentive and professional demeanor with residents and guests.
• Genuine desire to improve quality of life for seniors.
• Create warmth, patience, enthusiasm and a calm cheerful environment.

Responsibilities

• Pass medications according to physician orders, under licensed nurse supervision and policy.
• Administer accurately and timely.
• Record medications administered in the resident’s record.
• Notify pharmacy or family when refills are needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized medication cart and room.
• Monitor and report side effects to the Director of Health Services.
• Document changes and provide shift reports for medication orders.
• Follow care plans related to medication administration for each resident.
• Assist with medical appointments and advocate for residents’ needs.
• Observe resident health changes and report concerns to medical staff.
• Document status changes in the electronic medical record.
• Complete incident reports per policy and perform delegated nursing tasks.
• Participate in in-service education and report changes in resident conditions.
