Job summary

Celebration Village Acworth is looking for a dedicated Medication Technician to administer medications, provide compassionate resident care, and help manage wellness scheduling in a close-knit environment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork to maintain high care standards.

Qualifications

• Must maintain certification in the state where you work.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Be in good physical health and able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Completion of drug testing and criminal background check upon hire and upon request.
• Experience in Assisted Living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers or assists with administration of medications according to physician orders on MAR.
• Documents medications on MAR and ensures accuracy after administration.
• Conducts shift change reports with incoming staff.
• Maintains security of medication cart and conducts narcotic counts.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living when needed.
• Observes residents and reports changes to Wellness Director or charge nurse.
• Responds to emergencies promptly and notifies appropriate staff.
• Follows CDC/OSHA safety and infection control procedures.
• Plans wellness schedule in advance and supports on-call staffing coverage.
