Job summary

Livingston Place Assisted Living in Washington, DC is seeking a compassionate Medication Technician to provide safe, respectful care to residents. You will administer medications per physician orders, document on MARs, monitor changes in condition, and assist with ADLs while maintaining infection control standards.

The ideal candidate holds a current Medication Technician certification, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Current Medication Technician certification required.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous assisted living, senior living, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and in accordance with physician orders and state regulations.
• Accurately document medication administration on MARs.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
• Maintain medication inventory and ensure proper storage procedures.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.
• Foster a positive, caring, and respectful environment for residents and families.
• Follow all community policies, safety procedures, and infection control practices.
