Job summary

Columbia Place Assisted Living & Memory Care is seeking dependable Medication Aides (Med Techs) to join our team. You will safely administer prescribed medications, document administration, monitor residents, and maintain stocked medication carts with a focus on safety and compassion.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and Med Tech training or certification. Prior senior living experience is a plus, and you will collaborate closely with nurses and care staff to deliver quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Med Tech training or certification required for the position.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior living preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely administer medications according to physician orders, facility policies, and applicable regulations.
• Document medication administration using the electronic medication records system.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition, medication reactions, or other concerns and report to nursing staff.
• Measure and document vital signs as needed.
• Maintain organized, clean, and properly stocked medication carts.
• Follow medication safety procedures, including proper storage, labeling, and documentation.
• Communicate effectively with nurses, caregivers, pharmacies, and other team members to ensure residents receive the care they need.
• Respond to resident needs with patience, compassion, and professionalism.
• Assist with resident care and support fellow team members as needed, within training and authorized duties.
• Help create a positive, welcoming environment where residents feel respected, valued, and cared for.
