Job summary

Saint Joseph Villa in Pennsylvania is seeking a Personal Care Assistant/Medication Technician to provide basic nursing care and administer medications under the supervision of the nurse in charge.

You will assist residents with bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility, monitor wellbeing, document care, and follow privacy and safety standards while collaborating with the nursing team to maintain a compassionate, resident-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year experience in long term care/assisted living/home health care.
• Successful completion of Medication Technician training and periodic competency testing.

Responsibilities

• Administer scheduled medications per physician’s orders and document in the MAR.
• Give basic nursing care, including bathing, hair care, oral hygiene, nail care, skin care and shaving.
• Assist residents with dressing/undressing as necessary.
• Make beds and change linens as needed; ensure bed is in a comfortable position.
• Deliver meals and assist with feeding as necessary; record meal consumption.
