Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Hershey, PA is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities, including medication administration within scope. The role supports residents, coordinates with nursing staff, and contributes to a compassionate team environment.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a completed Medication Aide Course, and current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing. Flexibility for weekends/holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must complete the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Pass 2 medication observations annually.
• Pass all medication cart audits; complete 4 hours of education annually.
• Effective written and verbal communication is required.
• Organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• Polite and professional with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays; maintain calm during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures for the position.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Report incidents and care concerns to appropriate people.
• Perform housekeeping duties as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to resident calls and emergencies.
• Plan and conduct activity programs for residents.
• Follow confidentiality policies for resident information.
• Assist residents to and from dining/activities; check attendance.
• Report resident illness and status to appropriate individuals.
• Communicate resident status and appointments in writing and verbally.
• Assist new residents with move-in transitions and emotional support.
• Attend all medication trainings; complete medication cart audits.
• Document medication administration in EMAR/MAR and Daily Log.
• Re-order medications and communicate changes to pharmacy and families.
• Other duties as assigned.
