Northeast Georgia Health System seeks a Patient Care Technician to provide clerical support, assist with patient care, and serve as a communications link across units. The role supports adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, following nursing staff directions and safety policies.

Responsibilities include data collection, hygiene assistance, and EMR documentation, with training pathways available for those without CNA certification. On-site, full-time position in a patient-centered environment.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; opportunity for NGHS in-house PCT Academy training for eligible candidates.
• CNA certification may be part of in-house training track if needed.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain and report basic patient data (vital signs, weight, etc.).
• Assist with activities of daily living and patient hygiene.
• Monitor fluid intake/output and document.
• Notify licensed staff of changes in patient status.
• Assist with patient transport and room preparation for admissions.
• Maintain clean and stocked units, respond to patient calls promptly.
• Explain procedures to patients prior to starting care.
• Record patient data accurately in the EMR and communicate with the care team.
