Bon Secours Mercy Health's Lorain Hospital seeks a Unit Secretary for the Med Surg unit to support the care delivery team. You will transcribe physician orders, organize patient records, and coordinate essential information with health team members and other departments.

The role requires high school education, ability to type 35 wpm, CPR certification, and preferred healthcare experience. This is a full-time, 36-hour weekly position with rotating shifts and weekends.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of Medical Terminology is required.
• Ability to type 35 wpm with accuracy.
• CPR certification obtained/maintained annually.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Transcribes physician orders and enters them into the computer.
• Plans and organizes patient care records.
• Coordinates communications to health team members and other departments.
• Performs clerical duties as needed and orders unit supplies.
• Promotes positive interpersonal relationships within the unit.
