Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Med Surg travel nurse to join a 13-week assignment in Grand Rapids, MI. The RN will work 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, providing bedside care and medical management in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Requirements include BLS and 1–2 years of recent acute care experience. This travel role offers tax-free stipends and weekly pay through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification required.
• 13‑week travel assignment in Grand Rapids, MI.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer prescribed medications and document administration.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs as needed.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and aftercare.
• Assist with discharge planning and patient education plans.
