Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in West Branch, Michigan. This position is a 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week, night shifts, and travel employment.

The Med Surg RN will conduct assessments, document findings, and provide education to patients and families. Requires 1-2 years of acute care experience and BLS; other certifications may be required. Competitive pay package and benefits available.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years acute care experience required.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and record prescribed medications, report adverse reactions.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physician during examinations and treatment.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and care.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education plans.
