Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a Travel Nurse Med Surg RN for a 13-week assignment in Saint Joseph, Michigan. The RN will work 36 hours per week on a Night shift (12-hour shifts) in a fast-paced Med/Surg unit.

The right candidate has 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and NIH certifications, and is prepared to handle bedside care, medications, and patient education while supporting discharge planning.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Current BLS and NIH certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for Med/Surg patients including pre- and post-op.
• Administer, record, and report prescribed medications.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations.
• Educate patients and families and participate in discharge planning.
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and document findings.
