Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Midland, Michigan. The right RN should have 1-2 years of recent acute care experience and be able to work 12-hour night shifts on a 36-hour week.

As a MedSurg RN, you will conduct patient assessments, document findings, and provide education and support to patients and families. This travel position requires flexibility and stamina in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; additional certifications may be required.
• Travel nurse experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients including pre- and post-op.
• Administer and document prescribed medications; report adverse reactions.
• Assist with dressings, catheter insertions, and IV starts.
• Assist physicians during examination and treatment; educate patients and families.
• Participate in discharge planning and patient education.
