Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The role focuses on general medical-surgical and telemetry patients, with care plans spanning assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

The RN will deliver nursing services under supervision, ensure adherence to policies, and participate in competencies, with specialty training in ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS as required within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure recognized by the Kentucky State Board of Nursing.
• Completion and maintenance of BLS.
• ACLS & PALS (or ENPC) within 6 months of hire.
• NIHSS within 3 months of hire.
• Successful completion of all competencies as identified on the departmental nurse competency grid.
• BLS Required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing services and patient care following the nursing process.
• Assess patient needs, plan interventions, implement care, and evaluate outcomes.
• Delegate nursing care activities and supervise support staff.
• Maintain adherence to hospital policies and nursing standards; ensure safe medication handling.
