Education/Experience

1. A high school diploma, its equivalent, or higher degree is required.
2. A minimum of three months of previous hospital or medical-surgical clinic experience as a military corpsman or nursing attendant.
3. Medical Assistants who completed their externship through UHS may also be considered in lieu of 1 year of experience, or be a graduate nurse waiting to take the NCLEX examination.
4. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
