Job summary

The Medlinkhealth Anesthesia Associates are seeking an adaptable Medical-Surgical / Stepdown RN to join our inpatient acute care team. You will coordinate nursing care for adult and geriatric patients, assess conditions, administer medications including cardiac drips, and support education for patients and families.

You will float between Medical-Surgical and Progressive Care/Stepdown units as needed, collaborate with physicians and staff to maintain high standards, and participate in discharge

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Minimum 2+ years Medical-Surgical RN experience in acute care.
• Stepdown/Progressive Care experience with cardiac drips and monitoring.
• ICU background welcomed.
• Epic EHR proficiency required.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Active RN license in state or compact license.

Responsibilities

• Provide total nursing care for adult/geriatric patients in Med-Surg/Stepdown.
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and monitor labs/imaging.
• Float between units as needed and support staffing requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians, hospitalists, nursing staff, and allied health.
• Educate patients and families and assist with discharge planning.
