Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med Surg Float role in Milwaukee. You will provide high-acuity patient care across Intermediate and Med/Surg units, stabilizing patients and supporting recovery plans.

The role requires current RN licensure in Wisconsin (or multistate), BLS within 30 days of hire, and 3+ years of nursing experience, with PALS preferred for pediatric readiness.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a multistate license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex patient care with specialized training in progressive care to stabilize and support patients.
• Serve as the primary contact for clinical disciplines, ensuring coordinated recovery plans.
• Monitor patient safety, document care accurately, and advocate for quality outcomes.
• Respond to hospital needs by providing expert nursing support in high-acuity cases.

Qualifications and skills:

• Current RN licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a multistate license.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in med/surg and progressive care settings.
• Experience with high-acuity patients and procedures such as chest tubes and medication infusions is preferred.
