Job summary

Novant Health Rowan Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our 36-bed Medical-Surgical Unit. This role involves delivering safe, compassionate care to a diverse patient population with varying acuity levels, performing thorough assessments, administering medications, and coordinating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

You will educate patients and families, assist with discharge planning, and promote a safe environment throughout the stay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to a diverse medical-surgical patient population while managing multiple patients with varying levels of acuity.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, and monitor patients for changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, therapists, case management, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care.
• Educate patients and families, assist with discharge planning, and promote a safe environment throughout the patient’s stay.
