Job summary

Novant Health Rowan Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for our 36-bed Medical-Surgical Unit. You will provide safe, compassionate care to a diverse patient population, perform assessments, administer medications, and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

You will educate patients and families, assist with discharge planning, and maintain a safe care environment throughout the stay. An accredited nursing program graduate with RN licensure is required, with a preference for 1 year of

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; RN license required.
• One year of relevant experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state required.

This unit provides care for a diverse patient population with a variety of medical and surgical conditions, including infections, chronic illnesses, post-operative recovery, and other complex medical needs. Nurses develop strong skills in patient assessment, medication management, wound care, care coordination, and interdisciplinary collaboration. What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, and monitor patients for changes in condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, CNAs, therapists, case management, and other members of the healthcare team to coordinate individualized patient care.
• Educate patients and families, assist with discharge planning, and promote a safe environment throughout the patient’s stay.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
