Northwestern Medicine seeks a Staff Nurse at Palos Hospital to provide direct patient care across the continuum from admission to discharge. The role emphasizes adherence to ethical standards and evidence-based practice, with collaboration across the health-care team.

Responsibilities include accurate data collection, care planning, discharge planning, patient education, and participation in multidisciplinary conferences.

Qualifications

• BSN and current State of Illinois RN license required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain a BSN within three years.
• ACLS, PALS/ENPC & TNCC within one year of hire for ER roles.
• Pediatric ER TNCC within one year of hire.
• Emergency/ Pediatric specialized credentials preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assess and record patient status upon admission and care entry.
• Organize health data for accessibility and accuracy.
• Identify problems needing immediate attention and escalate.
• Document diagnoses and care plans clearly.
• Initiate discharge planning and educate patients and families.
