Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical-Surgical unit. The role offers 3 x 12-hour shifts with day or night options and pays $36.00-$49.16 per hour, with sign-on opportunities up to $20,000 for experienced RNs and up to $10,000 for new graduates.

Locations include Bridgton Hospital, Central Maine Medical Center, and Rumford Hospital. Eligible candidates will have an active RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days, and any relevant acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator Management experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
• The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients; communicates with physician about changes in condition, including monitoring, test results, and symptomatology.
