Job summary

Castleview Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical team in Price, Utah. Join a caring team dedicated to high-quality patient care and community health.

As an RN, you will provide comprehensive med-surg care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to patient education and outcomes. A competitive sign-on bonus is offered to eligible full-time applicants.

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS certifications are required.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
• New grads welcomed to apply!
• Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition to care team, physicians, patients and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referrals and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient/family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Performs accurate patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Documents care timely and accurately relating to medical necessity in the chart.
• Completes and revises Interdisciplinary Care Plans for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.
