Job summary

Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a registered nurse for Medical-Surgical, full-time nights. You will provide high-quality care and support a diverse patient population.

You will perform plans of care, administer medications, document care, coordinate with the care team, educate patients and families, and advocate for patients' wellbeing. We offer a generous sign-on bonus up to $15,000, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing with current state board.
• Associate's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• One year of bedside Med-Surgical experience preferred.
• New graduates welcome to apply; ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care including medication administration and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient status.
• Collaborates with care team for transfers, discharges, and referrals.
• Provides patient and family education tailored to age and culture.
• Assesses and initiates nursing interventions; maintains accurate medical records.
• Completes and updates the Interdisciplinary Care Plan; conducts QI assessments.

As a Registered Nurse(RN),you'll play an important role in providing compassionate, high-quality med-surg care for our patients.

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Accurately performs patient assessments andidentifiespatient needs
• Identifiesandinitiatesappropriate nursinginterventions
• Provides careappropriate tocondition and age of the patient
• Performstimelyandappropriate documentationrelating to medical necessity in the medical record
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
• PerformstimelyandaccurateQI assessments

Whatwe'relooking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license andpossessanassociate'sdegree from an accredited nursing school.Additionalrequirements include:

• Basic Life Support and ACLS certification isrequired.
• One year of experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
