Job summary

HCA Florida Lehigh Hospital is seeking a Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a demanding Med/Surg environment. You will collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective care and advocate for patients and families.

The role requires Florida RN licensure (compact licensure allowed with active FL RN within 60 days), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS certification; acute care experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Florida RN license active or compact licensure with FL license within 60 days.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.
• Experience in acute care setting strongly preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication; reads and follows instructions; proficient in PC use.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and results.
• Administer medications per physician orders.
