Job summary

HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is seeking a Charge Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to lead care for Med/Surg patients and ensure high-quality, efficient treatment. You will guide the nursing team, assess patients, and coordinate with physicians in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires FL RN licensure (compact considered with 60-day activation), a Nursing Diploma or ASN (BSN preferred), and BLS from AHA. Acute care experience is favored.

Qualifications

• Must hold Florida RN license or compact license with active FL RN within 60 days of hire.
• Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care setting preferred.
• Strong critical thinking, service orientation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for Med/Surg patients.
• Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions.
• Maintain and review patient records including tests and exam results.
• Administer medications per physician orders and provide nursing leadership on shift.
