Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse for Medical Surgical, Part-Time Days. The Staff Nurse Inpatient-Kishwaukee provides high-quality nursing care using the nursing process, delivering education to patients and families, and coordinating discharge planning.

The role requires a BSN, an Illinois RN license, and Basic Life Support certification. ADN holders pursuing a BSN within 3 years are acceptable. Benefits and growth opportunities are available within NM’s extensive program.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Current State of Illinois RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ADN acceptable with commitment to obtain BSN within 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Completes assessment for each patient based on age-specific variables.
• Develops and updates nursing plan of care with input from interdisciplinary team and patient/family.
• Coordinates communication with physicians and other healthcare providers.
