Advocate Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Burlington, VT medical unit. The role features three 12-hour night/evening shifts (6:45pm–7:15am) with weekend work and a differential structure. The department is a full-time, benefits-eligible position within a Med Surg unit.

Ideal candidates will have an RN license in the state, BLS, and completion of an approved nursing program. Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills are essential for high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Uses the nursing process to assess needs, plan and implement care.
• Education: Completion of an accredited program in Nursing.
• Licensure: RN license issued by state; BLS certification required.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR usage.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess the patient, plan and implement interventions.
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition and adjust care plan as needed.
• Coordinate discharge planning with interdisciplinary team.
• Promote patient safety and quality of care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and teammates.
• Demonstrate leadership and delegate to appropriate team members.
