Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin’s Burlington Med Surg unit is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the IU Medical Unit. This full-time role is 36 hours per week with three 12-hour night shifts, 6:45pm–7:15am, Friday through Sunday, and one weekend off per quarter.

The RN will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, collaborate with the care team, and support discharge planning. Licensure as an RN and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Typically 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs using the nursing process and plan individualized care.
• Collaborate with the health care team to coordinate patient-centered care.
• Implement interventions and evaluate outcomes.
• Promote patient safety and participate in discharge planning.
