Job summary

Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, AL, seeks a Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse for night shifts (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) in the 6T unit. A $15,000 sign-on bonus applies for qualified candidates with current RN licensure and BLS, ACLS preferred.

Join a supportive team delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced hospital setting. Responsibilities include assessments, monitoring, medication administration, care coordination, patient education, and collaboration across care teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid state RN license with current BLS; ACLS preferred.
• Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and ongoing evaluations of patients’ physical, emotional, and mental health.
• Monitor vital signs, intake/output, and other indicators to detect changes in condition.
• Recognize and act on deterioration signs such as changes in HR, RR or mental status.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Act as liaison between patients, families, and healthcare team to meet needs.
• Provide patient education on condition, treatment options, and recovery to prevent readmission.
• Communicate with physicians, specialists, PTs, and social workers to adjust care plans.
• Epic computer charting.
• New grads welcome.
