Job summary

Advocate Health’s 32-bed med-surg unit in Shelby, NC is seeking a registered nurse to deliver bedside care for a range of surgical and medical patients. Qualifications

• Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in North Carolina.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.
• May be required to float to other units to meet patient care needs.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds and promotes a culture of safety.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May be required to float to other units or facilities within service area.
