Job summary

Centra Health, located in the heart of Central Virginia, operates a 33-bed Medical-Surgical Unit serving adult patients with a broad range of acute medical and surgical conditions. The Clinical Registered Nurse II promotes and restores health by following medical and nursing plans of care, collaborates with physicians and the multidisciplinary team, and ensures a safe, quality care environment.

This role handles assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation, patient education, and discharge

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience is required.
• Diploma or ADN nursing education and Virginia RN licensure.
• BLS certification; ACLS preferred for units with complex care.

Responsibilities

• Conducts individualized patient assessments and ongoing reassessments.
• Plans, modifies, and coordinates an individualized care plan with the multidisciplinary team.
• Performs treatments and nursing interventions as ordered in a timely, accurate manner.
• Documents patient status and outcomes; ensures safe discharge planning and education.
