Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center – Nursing Med Surg unit in Winston-Salem, NC. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with days 7a–7p and rotating weekends and holiday coverage.

The RN will utilize the nursing process, monitor patients, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high-quality, evidence-based care. BLS and an active RN license are required, with eligibility for multi-state licensure.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active, unrestricted RN license with multi-state compact and/or single-state privileges.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; engages patients and families.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains accurate EHR documentation.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Communicates effectively and supports team collaboration and appropriate delegation.
• Pursues professional development and maintains certifications.
