Job summary

Advocate Aurora Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Wake Forest area to join the Nursing Med Surg: Operating Room team. You will apply evidence-based nursing care, engage patients and families, and collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal outcomes.

This full-time role requires BLS and an RN license with state privileges; expected 36 hours per week, with a Monday-Friday schedule 10:30-23:00 and on-call duties. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the relevant state(s).
• Note: telehealth/virtual practice requires licensure in the state(s) served.

Responsibilities

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Use nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care with patients and families.
• Monitor patient conditions and adjust care plans with the team.
• Maintain a culture of safety and ensure accurate EHR documentation.
• May float to other units as needed within the service area.
