Job summary

HCA Healthcare Trident Hospital in the Charleston region seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients on admission and during shifts, administering medications, documenting care, educating patients and families, and ensuring safety and compliance with nursing standards. Current SC RN license and BCLS required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred.
• < 1 year applicable experience
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma
