Job summary

Doctors Hospital of Augusta is seeking a Float Pool Med Surg Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. You will follow the Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage model, advocate for patients and families, and help ensure outstanding clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities include admission assessments, medication administration with documentation, prompt patient responsiveness, and patient and family education on conditions and treatments.

Qualifications

• Nurse license to practice in Georgia (RN).
• Minimum 1 year medical-surgical experience.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient's condition at admission and each shift, reporting changes promptly.
• Administer prescribed meds, monitor response, and document care in the medical record.
• Provide attentive care, respond to patient requests, and proactively anticipate needs.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up, translating medical terms when needed.
