Job summary

Physicians Regional Medical Center - Pine Ridge campus is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical Surgical (Med/Surg) Day shift. The role includes coordinating and delivering patient-centered care, collaborating with physicians and the care team, and providing education to patients and families.

The RN will administer medications, monitor for side effects, and assist with procedures. Required license is RN with BCLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have 0–2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student rotations.
• RN licensure required; BCLS, ACLS, PALS and NRP preferred/required per facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient-centered care using nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Coordinates with physicians, nurses, and healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.
• Administers medications and monitors for adverse effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within competency.
• Educates patients and families on conditions and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control standards and patient safety.
