Physicians Regional Medical Center - Pine Ridge is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) unit on days, 7 AM to 7 PM.

The role provides patient-centered care using the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver high-quality care and education.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting.
• RN license in state or compact state required.
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred.
• Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care per nursing process.
• Assess patients, document findings, and report changes.
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within competency.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and discharge plans.
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards.
• Document care promptly in the medical record.
• Participate in audits and performance improvement initiatives.
