Job summary

Seton Medical Center Harker Heights is seeking a day shift, full-time Med-Surg Registered Nurse in Harker Heights, TX. The RN will plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care, develop nursing care plans, and communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.

Requirements include Texas RN licensure, current home state license or Texas BON multi-state recognition, BLS within 14 days of hire, and ACLS on hire. Preferred 1+ year Med-Surg experience and patient safety practices.

Qualifications

• Texas RN licensure required.
• Active BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Active ACLS certification required at hire.
• Nurse Licensure Compact recognition preferred or allowed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care on Med-Surg, developing nursing care plans in coordination with patient, family and interdisciplinary staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition with physicians, nursing supervisor/manager and coworkers as appropriate.
