Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our patient‑centered care team. You will perform comprehensive assessments, create SMART care plans, and administer medications with a focus on safety and compassion.

You will educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and colleagues, document care, and continuously improve outcomes while maintaining HIPAA standards in a faith‑based, community hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Requires Associate's Degree in Nursing and RN licensure.
• 1+ year of hospital/acute care nursing experience preferred.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/other certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments through observation, interviews, and physical examinations to gather patient history and vital signs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans with SMART goals in collaboration with patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments safely, including various routes and IV/IM methods, and perform procedures.
• Provide patient and family education about health conditions, treatments, and self-care practices.
• Advocate for patient safety and confidentiality, coordinating with the healthcare team and resources.
• Collaborate with doctors, therapists, social workers, and others to ensure coordinated care.
• Document care activities accurately in medical records and ensure continuity of care.
