RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Medical-Surgical RN for Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ. This full-time role offers 12.5-hour day shifts and requires NY RN licensure with BLS, plus strong clinical judgment and compassionate communication.

The RN will conduct patient assessments, administer evidence-based care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and hold an active New Jersey RN license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing strongly preferred; 3+ years in acute care encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and recognize clinical changes; intervene and advocate as needed.
• Administer medications and provide hands-on care with strong clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers to coordinate timely care decisions.
• Educate patients and families clearly to support informed care decisions.
• Document accurately in the EMR to ensure continuity and safety.
