Job summary
RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Surgical Unit at MMC Southern Campus in Lakewood, NJ. This Night shift, hourly role requires an active NJ RN license and strong clinical judgment to assess patients, administer care, and collaborate with the care team.
The RN will document in EPIC, provide patient education, and participate in rounds to ensure safe, high-quality care. A BSN is preferred and professional growth opportunities are available within RWJBarnabas
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license in good standing.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; experience in patient care and EMR familiarity (EPIC).
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor for changes.
- Administer medications and treatments safely with strong clinical judgment.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced providers for coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families to ensure understanding and engagement in care.
- Document accurately in the EMR to support continuity and safety.
- Participate in interdisciplinary rounds to improve transitions of care.
